The Huron Fringe Gift Shop
The Huron Fringe Gift Shop is a project of the Friends of MacGregor. Profits are reinvested into MacGregor Point's educational programs, facilities and trails. Available in the store are books (field guides, nature themed, children's), adult, youth and children's clothing, jewelry, garden accessories, toys, novelties and much more.
Wireless internet is available within the Visitor Centre by donation.
Hours for the 2011 Season are:
- May 7 - June 23 = 11:00am to 3:00pm daily (Extended hours during the Huron Fringe Birding Festival)
- June 24 - September 5 = 11:00am to 5:00pm daily
- September 6 - October 23 = 11:00am to 3:00pm daily (Check posted hours for changes)
Why do we have a gift shop?
One
of the ways the Friends of MacGregor Point raises funds is through the
gift shop. Since the Friends mandate is to enhance the park's
interpretive facilities and programs, we work together with the park to
select projects that will enable park visitors to learn and appreciate
MacGregor Point Provincial Park and its unique natural resources.
Our store was redesigned this year and we had many
great comments about it. Sales were up significantly and many new items
were available . Thank you to all who made this year such a success.
Look for the re-opening on May 5, 2012.
